"Wanderlust" 49andMarket DT creation

Hello and welcome 49andMarket friends.

It is Tina here with you again today to share something that I again created earlier in the year for CHA and then taught in New Zealand for all the lovely ladies at the Autumn Retreat.

For me this was a very simple layout as I have done no media work and just let the gorgeous papers shine through.

I have used the beautiful Captured Adventures collection to create the seaside layout of my son a lot of years ago at a faraway holiday retreat. I have used the Explorer paper as my background piece. This piece is just full of colour and there is a lot going on to work with the photo. I used pieces from the Far Away Land paper to help connect the photo to the background with lots of differing sizes of layering.

Above you can see the gorgeous pieces from the Archival Board Escape and Timeless. They are just so gorgeous and so easy to add to any layout.

And of course no layout is complete without the addition of 49andMarket's beautiful collections of the Botanicals in the blends and potpouri. And for good measure I added in some Seaside Blooms in the Aloe colour to help bring the background colours to the page.

These laser cut "Timeless" chipboard sheets have been created using museum quality archival board. It is perfect for accepting all sorts of paints, mists and mediums but I love just to turn them over and used the darker side of the archival with a touch of ink.

I have also used some of the pieces from the Escape Archival Board as you can see above and below.

Well that is all from me today. I do hope you have enjoyed my layout "Wanderlust".
Please join us back here tomorrow for another design team project to inspire you.

Until next time take care.

"Sparkle" 49andMarket / Dusty Attic DT creation / May

Welcome Dusty friends and a very Happy Mothers Day ! And because it is Mother's Day I wanted to create a project with a photo that I took of my gorgeous eldest only last week. She has grown into the most beautiful young lady both inside and out. And as a mum I couldn't be prouder of her and all my children. But this moment at her high school formal last week truly took my breath away.

My inspiration for this layout was of course the photo, but I also used the beautiful Dusty moodboard for this month. When I first looked at the colours of this moodboard I was very undecided as to what I would do, but after some time procrastinating my project grew. Doing moodboards and challenges I find really puts me in a place where I sometimes need to go.

This project has been titled "Sparkle".....

I have reverted back to an older collection "Scents of Nature". I used two of the same pieces called Hold on Me. This would have to be one of the prettiest of the papers from this particular collection. I have used it before. So to reinvent a paper is always a challenge for me.

On my background page I did layering of some beautiful lace that my bestest crafty buddy gave to me a little while back. And luckily for me she gave me a huge bundle. So I wasn't too worried about using lots. Once my layering was glued down with some 3D gel I then did some spritzing using Gold Foil Color Bloom. It is a fantastic gold, perfect for this project. My large Dusty Attic Decorative Frame #2 and title "Sparkle" was also spritzed with this same spray. I let the chipboard dry and then coated these pieces with my Dusty Attic Crackle Varnish.

You can see the effect of the crackle over the spray mist below on the title word "sparkle".

My second piece of Hold on Me was used to mat my photo. I added in lots and lots more layers of yummy gorgeously beautiful blooms. I have at the moment a little of an obsession with the Cerise colour in the Vintage Shades. It is a spectacularly gorgeous vintage red.  So I used a couple of packs to create my large cluster going across my photo. I added in also some of the leaves from my other packs along with a little muslin to help soften my layout.

And from another view. Here you can see the flowers in their differing shades.  I also decided to add in a little more foliage in the form of of course.... chipboards. I dressed a whole packet of these foliage pieces with ColourArte Nutmeg H20's. I love layering the H2O's on thickly and heatsetting them, making the H2O's bubble. I also did a little stamping and some transparency work using Gabi's new Ornate Stamp. I used a white embossing powder to create the transparencies of the windows and corner frame.

And that is all from me for today.
Thank you for popping by. I will see you back here again very soon.
Until then take care.

"Friendship" by Tina Ollett

Hello friends. I am back with you today to share something that I created some time ago for CHA.
And most recently I taught this for a most beautiful group of ladies in New Zealand.

This is titled

For this project I focused on using the Tattered Garden collection and co-ordinating flowers. I used the reverse of the Tattered Letters patterned paper and dressed this was Ranger Texture Paste through a stencil. I add over this some art stones and ink.

I also added in some Dusty Attic chipboards to help embellish my layout and give it more dimension. These pieces were dressed in Crackle Paste and inked.

And from another view....

Well that is all from me today. I do hope you have like my project and maybe been inspired to do a little something of your own using some fabulously beautiful 49andMarket.
Until next time take care ...

"Never Stop Dreaming" Design Team creation for Dusty Attic and 49andMarket

Hello and a huge welcome back!
As promised I have my second layout designed for design teams 49andMarket and the Dusty Attic.

This is ....................."Never Stop DREAMING" I hope you enjoy it !!

My inspiration from this project grew from one sheet of paper in the Tattered Gardens collection, the Playground. Of course there are many beautiful pieces as with all of Janene’s collections, but this one I really gravitated to.
Tattered Playground – A
I used two sheets of Playground, using some of the B side for the layering of my photo.
Ok so I really love my chipboards and I have used a number of pieces some of the my older favourites and some new releases. I just couldn't decide on the colour for my chippies. It really was difficult but in the end I just threw my hands in the air and used them all. I had some previously dressed and decided that I would just use all of the Ornamental Trims. I have cut them and layered them amongst the layers of paper and flowers as you will see in the close-ups below.

Ornamental Trim Set DA1347

My background work was stencilled I promise. I used the Numbers Stencil below. You can see the 3 peeping through on this close-up above. I just go carried away with my embellishing that the stencilling are became less. Well that happens often but I really do like this stencil. Will be using it again.

I have also done some random stamping using Gabrielle's Crackle Stamp Set.

And I know I love my flowers but who could resist. I have used many collections to complete this project. I wanted it to be as pretty as my girl.
I have used lots of flowers here from the new release flowers of 49andMarket in many different colours. And I simply couldn't stop adding as you can see.
The flowers I have used are:
Vintage Shades Potpourri Orchid
BP-87063 Botanical Potpourri - Bottle Green
Botanical Potpourri – Bottle Green
Vintage Shades Botanical Orchid
Vintage Shades - Sage Blossoms
Vintage Shades – Sage Blossoms
Garden Seeds – Aloe
Floral Mixology – Purple Rain
And I also have some more close-ups for you below.

The French Flourish that you can see here above really is an old favourite. It is so elegant and very easy to use. I have layered this piece here with two other pieces of the Ornamental Trim. I just cut these pieces of chippies and tucked them into my flowers.

And how cute is the Watering Can. I love this  it is just the perfect addition to any floral layout I think. For this project I simply primed my piece with gesso and then I did some inking with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I also tucked in some DA branches.

Well that is all from me for today! I hope you enjoyed my project.
Until next time take care.
