"Smile" 49andMarket and Dusty Attic project - Captured Adventures

Hello crafting friends and welcome back.

Today I have a fun project that I created with the newest gorgeously stunning collection "Captured Adventures". And even though I am sure it was created with travel in mind, it surely is a very diverse collection. I think it is just amazing!! So with this in mind I went ahead and created my project with a photo of my 3 children from a time where fun was created by pushing each other down the driveway in the little pink and purple car as fast as one could. I remember this afternoon as clear and if it were yesterday. They had so very much fun doing this for what seemed like forever.
This project has been titled ........................

"Smile"

I was immediately drawn to the Eclectic Pieces sheet on opening my goodies pack and this is where I started with my project. I had in mind doing something with just the black but as I progressed along I changed my mind and flipped through my pack again to find the b side of Journey which I have torn a few times. I took my que from the colours in the piece. It has a very slight colouring but it is stunning! I have also used both sides of Far away land to help with the layering and matting of my photos with some extra chipboard.

Below you can see some of the layering of the photo with papers, Dusty Attic chipboard and burlap.

What I love about these papers is there really is no need for media as the papers are so detailed with background design. I did add a little script stencilling but not very much at all.
And below is the Vintage Frame #2 from Dusty Attic which I have used here, isn't it stunning?

Below are the packs of the stunning blooms I used for my layout. To tell the truth I really started out with the two packs of Hazelnut new release flowers on my desk. I so loooooove this colour. It has a very vintage tone to it perfect for my style of scrapping. I have also mixed up some Garden Seeds Aloe in the project to match with my papers. The flowers co-ordinate perfectly.

And below you can see more burlap from the top of the layout. I like to distress my burlap and add a little gesso here and there to add to the shabbiness of my project.

I have tucked this little ticket in at the side which I cut from the papers. I have also used the back of the trim of Electic pieces to pull my project together.

And more of the stunning florals which I have layered in and around the layered pattered papers and my gorgeous piece of Dusty Attic.

That is all from me today! Thank you for joining me. I will be back again tomorrow with my second project, maybe something a little beachy this time around!

Big hugs Teen xo

"Trust your heart" 49andMarket and Dusty Attic - Captured Adventures

Welcome back !
As I promised yesterday I would return with another project using "Captured Adventure".
This is "Trust your heart"......

I have used a favourite photo of my youngest daughter taken a little while ago. Not the clearest of images but I love this photo ! Her eyes tell the story....... and that is what I used to create this layout with, is the colour of her gorgeous eyes. And as I previously mentioned I have used Captured Adventures. If you have not yet put this collection into your stash you really should. It is an absolutely stunning collection. I can see many projects made by me with this.

So as you can see above I have only used two sheets from the collection today. The base sheet Eclectic Pieces is the favourite piece for me from this collection...... front and back. It is so hard to decided to use. Well I used one yesterday so I guess the other side today.......
And you will find when you get these in your hot little hands that there really is no need to go crazy with media as the designs on these pieces are just amazing. I basically followed the design and went from there. I have turned this first piece on its side to start with. Did some tearing and matting for my photo with Boldy Go and runner up for my next favourite paper!!! I did a little layering with papers and of course I added in some Dusty Attic chipboards to help with the layering process.

Above here you can see the layering that I have done in this clustered corner. I have used lots n lots n lots of my favourite flowers from 49andMarket in Vintage Sage and Yellows. I have also coloured two flowers from  the Botanical Blends collectin in bottle green. It is such and easy colour to change up to black with a little spray.

And I have also added in lots of these beauties..........

The sage matches these papers perfectly !

And from another view. Here you can see the Dusty Attic Decorative Frame that has been dressed in black and the bottom layer in Antique White with a smiggen of Black Distress Ink.

More of a view of the flower cluster and chipboards......

And again. Below is a list of the Dusty Pieces I have used for this project....

Well that is all from me today. I hope that you have enjoyed your visit here with me today.
Don't forget that another of our very talented team will be back again with you tomorrow to share their work for you to see. I will be back again next month until then take care and happy scrapping.

"Journey" - DA Design Team Creation February Moodboard

Good morning to you and I hope you are having a lovely start to the weekend.
Today I have a very different project to share with you. You will find not a flower in sight but loads and loads of my most favourite chipboards .......Dusty Attic.

To help me along this month I have used the gorgeous moodboard from Dusty Attic also.
See for yourself below.......

And this is what I came up with........."Journey".....

I can't explain to you how much I enjoyed doing this layout. Probably because it was very much outside my comfort zone but also a little challenging in the way that the chipboards have been layered. It was a work in progress that took some time but I am very happy with the outcome.
To help with the process I worked with the collection of "Rugged" from Authentique.

I love this angle of the layout. Here you can see the Numbers Chipboard that I used. All my chipboards were dressed with Dusty Attic's Rusting Powder and then painted with Denim Acrylic Paint. I loooooooove Rusting Powder. It gives the best effect used in differing ways. I never seem to get the same result twice.

From another angle .... here you can see more of the layering of the corrugation, barbed wire and numbers.

Tracks Stencil DA4494
Barbed Wire #2 DA1186

My background paper was randomly stamped and splattered with Dusty in Colour Denim and gesso. I also added in some Texture Paste through the Tracks Dusty Attic stencil.

Dusty In Colour Denim DA0914

Oh and these chipboard Spark Plugs ..... omgeeee how cute are these guys!!!? A perfect accompaniment for this project.

6 x 6 Skeleton Clock Face DA1689

I have also used a Skeleton Clock Face along with the Notepad Edge Frame seen above.

Well that is all from me today. I hope you have enjoyed my Moodboard inspired project. And I hope you will give this month's challenge a go and enter. All details can be found HERE.
Have a great weekend at happy crafting.
