"Shine" Design Team Creation for The Scrapbook Store - April

Welcome back once more and thank you for being here!
Today I am sharing with you my next Design Team creation for The Scrapbook Store. I have been using Carta Bella's It's a Girl / It's a Boy collections to create with this month. And having very few baby photos to use has been difficult so again I have created this with a favourite fun photo of my youngest hanging upside down off a swing. It is such a cute photo and one that I have never ever scrapped. Guess I have just been waiting for the perfect papers!!!!

  "Shine"

This turned out to be quite a vibrant page ......not really where I had intended to go with it, but I am happy with the outcome. And I feel it really does show the true personality of my gorgeous girl!

Carta Bella - Its A Girl - 12"x12" Double Sided Patterned Paper - Alphabet                      Prima Marketing - Art Basics - Texture Paste - White Crackle
My background paper here is called "Alphabet" and once more polka dots......I love them! I have used the new Dusty Attic stencil "Flower Burst" to add in some textures with ArtExtravagance Texture Paste (White Crackle).

Carta Bella - Its A Girl - 12"x12" Double Sided Patterned Paper - Journaling Cards

I have used some Dusty Attic Fantasy Floral chipboards to co-ordinate with my daughters top that she is wearing in the photo. To do this I inked each chipboard with black Archival ink and then back each flower with Carta Bella's journalling cards patterned paper. I also added in a little Ranger Star Dust Stickles to make them sparkle and shine! The remainder of the paper was cut up and used to mat my photo.

Stamp - Forever

I have used this gorgeous Blue Fern Studios stamp set to create background transparencies. I have used them to create layers around my photo. And I loooooove chains at present and these are just divine!

I have also used Dusty Attic's Word Pack #11 and the Luxury Scroll. I trimmed the pendants from the Luxury Scroll and cut it up to layer down the sided of my photo. It was dressed with the ArtExtravagance Crackle Paste and also and inked with a little Black Soot Distress Ink. The title "Shine" was dressed with gesso and Star Dust Stickles.

And for now for some close-ups..........

And you can see here my addition of some die that I have sitting in my stash......thinking I will use these again very soon. Makes it such a fun layout!

"Everyday Love" The Scrapbook Store Design Team Creation

Welcome and thank you for making the visit here!
Today I have my second Design Team Creation for The Scrapbook Store using the "It's A Girl / Boy" collection from Carta Bella. This collection as the name suggests is a baby collection but I felt like something a little different. And because my eldest daughter is having a rough week I wanted to do something nice for her. So without further ado I present ......................
"An Everyday Love"

I cut up the Journalling patterned paper and backed my resin frames with some of the green. My background paper was firstly covered with clear gesso and then I did some stencilling with the Tim Holtz Gothic stencil. I have also sprinkled a little Lindy's Olive Gold to give it a little shimmer. You can see for yourself below..........

All of my chipboards except for the title have been inked firstly then covered very generously with Crackle Paste and allowed to dry. Once dried I applied some Walnut stain randomly to the flourishes and frames. The title was simply covered in Walnut Stain.

And I have a few or a lot of close-ups for you!

I have as I always do tucked in a little cheesecloth. This was dyed using a watered down mix of Forest Moss Distress Ink.

The Blue Fern Chipboard Whimsy Flourishes the largest ones were overlapped. You can't see it here for all of the cluster but they were faced back to back and overlapped and the framework sat over the top of the flourishes.

I have used some Silver Prills here. I just adhere them with my clear drying glue and leave them to set.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit......thank you for being here!
Remember to keep scrolling if you are interested in the material list that I have made up for you.

Until next time ......take care.

"Little Moments" The Dusty Attic Design Team Moodboard Interpretation for April

Hello and welcome.
Today and I have my Design Team interpretation of this months moodboard at The Dusty Attic to share with you. And omygoodness the things that when through my mind when I saw it were endless. It would have to be the most beautiful, stunning, breathtaking and absolutely amazing Moodboard I have ever laid my eyes upon, as you can see for yourself below.

And my interpretation.......

I love to capture my children when they least expect it and this is one of those photos. A little moment of quiet reflection caught on camera after a full day of excitement at Movie World.

My starting point is always my chipboards. I like to gesso them firstly and then lay them out in such a way that it will help to start my layout. The Scroll pieces I have used here have been attached to the top and bottom of the Skeleton Clock. To dress the chipboards I did some stamping with a script stamp in a Steel Silver colour and then coloured the edges with Lindy's Inka Golds to co-ordinate with the moodboard.

I have layered my distressed papers under the Dusty Attic Skeleton Clock and then mounted the photo upon the Skeleton Clock giving my page some dimension.

Dusty Attic products used for this project are:

Corner Scroll #1 DA0209
Scroll #2DA0215
and

Skeleton Clock Faces DA0430
and

Mini Captions #6 DA13850

Vintage Keys DA0392

Some close-ups for you........

Well that is all from me today. I so hope that I have inspired you to give this month's moodboard a go. Just remember to use some Dusty Attic goodies and link it to the blog.

Until next time....happy scrapping.
